The NYC to Poughkeepsie Hudson Valley Brunch Cruise will run on Sundays, September 11 and October 2, 8:30am - 12:30pm, departing from Chelsea Piers, Pier 62 in Manhattan.

The Poughkeepsie to NYC Hudson Valley Dinner Cruise will run on Sundays, September 11 and October 2, 4:00-8:30 PM, departing from 1 Main Street in Poughkeepsie, Waryas Park (floating dock next to the Poughkeepsie Ice House).

Sean Scully: BOOK, an Exhibition of Photos, Drawings and Writings at Riverside Galleries, Garrison Art Center

The Riverside Galleries at Garrison Art Center in Garrison, New York, announces an exhibition of work by painter Sean Scully, September 17 through November 6, 2016, with a public reception for the artist on Sunday, September 18, 4 - 6pm.

The exhibition, Sean Scully: BOOK, is personal and unique, a rarely-shown version of the bigger-than-life artist. It is an assemblage of photos, drawings and writings that lie behind Scully's work. The artist will give a gallery talk on October 8 at 4pm.

Scully exhibits widely in the United States and Europe and his works are in the permanent collections of numerous museums including: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., the National Gallery of Australia, the Tate Gallery, London, and many other private and public collections worldwide.

There are many different types of activities planned for this wonderful day, beginning with a delicious brunch and continuing with a series of figure model sessions lasting until late afternoon. Music, poetry readings and performances are all part of the activities as well.

Rain or shine, the large Studio Barn (an 18th Century structure) will provide the work space and stage if it should rain. Otherwise, plan on spending your time sketching in the beautiful outdoors.
