Floral Mural Stops Traffic in Kingston, New York

If you do nothing else today, just watch this stunning video! It's so worth it! Total Inspiration! The Power of Art!

Mural painted in Kingston, NY as part of the 2015 O+ Festival. http://www.GAIAstreetart.com http://www.opositivefestival.org

International street artist Gaia, curator of the murals for the 2015 O+ Festival in Kingston, NY, wowed all with this spectacular floral mural “Pronkstilleven” (Dutch for 'ostentatious', 'ornate' or 'sumptuous' still life) painted on the Stuyvesant building on Fair Street in the historic section of Kingston, NY. Festival organizers chronicled the process of the painting of the mural with this impressive time-lapse video shown above.

Gaia’s studio work, installations and gallery projects have been exhibited throughout the world, including The Baltimore Museum of Art, Rice Gallery and Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive. His street work has been documented and featured in several books on urban art, including “Beyond the Street: The 100 Leading Figures in Urban Art” (Berlin, 2010). Gaia in 2014 was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Art and Style.

Mark your calendar for the O+ Festival on October 7-9, 2016. Visit www.opositivefestival.org for more information.

About the O+ Festival: The non-profit O+ Festival connects musicians, artists, and health & wellness providers for weekend-long celebrations featuring concerts and performances, art making, and wellness offerings for the entire community.
